Any other mamas having a hard time creating balanced meals for their little one?

I have been super stressed thinking about making sure all of my son’s meals are balanced and healthy. I don’t always make sure my owns meals are balanced. I just make what sounds good. And I can’t just feed him what I eat because half the time I don’t eat lunch. Or if I do then it’s a salad or something and he can’t have that yet. Anyone else having this issue? Advice is much appreciated! He has 4 teeth btw

Is he mostly eating whole foods like blw or are you mixing with purées?

I’m mixing with puréed pouches

What helped me was thinking about protein first, then fats and last carbs. I usually make a rough menu on Sunday to plan out based on that. For example this week was eggs cooked in butter with blueberries for breakfast, ground beef with bananas for lunch and usually for dinner it’s whatever I make for the family. If you’re doing pouches I think adding a protein source would be an easy add on! Like eggs, beef, chicken, tuna, etc.

I’m having the same issue. I’m a horrible eater and I’m also picky. I make him eggs in the morning but I personally hate eggs. 🤣

Recipe recommendation! These were such a hit. Made quite a lot and I froze individual baggies to defrost and serve or pack for daycare. I added an egg for allergen exposure and a tiny bit of added protein. https://feedingtinybellies.com/sweet-potato-zucchini-tots/

@Kassia yum I’m coming to your house for dinner lol

My son won’t eat anything unless it’s chicken salad and fruit. So I feel you on having a hard time I worry about it. He’s also still breastfeeding so he’s definitely still getting good protein. But as we’re working on weaning I hope he starts liking more of a spectrum of foods. I keep trying though lol.
