Baby carrier

Has anyone started forward facing their babies in the baby carrier yet? My little girl is just over 4 months and has excellent head control and I’m thinking about turning her to forward facing as she spends most of the time in her carrier craning her neck to see out!

I have put mine 21 week old few times in forward facing carrier as she just loves it. Not for a long periods but at shops or shorter walks

I have, she loves it, my back doesn't 😅

I've put my 4 month old in it for short periods when he's unlikely to fall asleep, he enjoyed it

I’ve just tried it out for a short walk and she LOVED it! 🤣 never seen her eyes so wide haha

They have to be 6 months because of hip development, it can cause issues with hip growth before xx

I’m testing her out forward facing tonight for a short period as we are watching a Christmas parade, as long as they have good head control it’s fine to go FF from 4 months, ergo baby have this on their website xx

@Melissa I think that depends on the carrier and if their legs hang loose. In mine, even forward facing his legs are in the M position so I think that's ok for their hips. I think it's more about their head position I.e. it doesn't fall too far forward and restrict their airways

@Sally this is the carrier I have and she’s definitely tall enough and has very good head and neck control. I did check the guidance beforehand but just wanted other peoples opinions as she’s my first and I worry 😂

@Chloe same here 😊 took my girl out forward facing tonight in it and she loved it as well 🥰 x

I'm very tempted as my girl is nosey but I understand some carriers are better than others for this with the hips. So I'm going to be textbook and wait for the 6 month mark.
