Interested to hear any other experiences / recommendations / medical Advice given
So, I went for a growth scan yesterday and baby is estimated at 5lb 4 already (32w4d) and his tummy’s on the larger side (off the chart)
so I’m being tested next fri for gd.
That’s fine, if I have it, I’ll deal.
But they also mentioned excessive water, which I’ve read can be quite a problem too? I’ve now got weekly scans and Dopplers to check baby and water.
Anyone else similar? Has induction been mentioned? Or risk of pre term labour?or worse?
This is my 3rd baby but the first time I’ve had any real complications.

Had similar this week 31+1 midwife measured bump as too small went for growth scan ended up having to see the consultant as baby too large. So have to have another gestational diabetes test and if that comes back clear again they will scan again in 4 weeks and he mentioned if growth carries on at this rate possible induction at 38 weeks. So will wait and see!

I had exactly the same after a growth scan this week, they was worried too small and went back on Friday and now apparently showing at 5lb 14 at nearly 35 weeks. Although weight and most things average his tummy is showing at the 95th percentile so they want to test me for GD. They did mention it may mean bringing him out earlier x
