Iā€™ve taken mounjaro for a month - not had any bad side effects, but felt like the lowest dose (2.5mg) still gave me food noise after 2 days of taking the doses. Iā€™m yet to weigh myself tomorrow but Iā€™ve onlylost 4lb in 3 weeks- was a little disappointed as Iā€™ve seen so many people lose a lot more! Iā€™ve been out walking when able, I probably shouldā€™ve eaten a little better - but it goes to show that you still need eat well and be active for it to have a proper affect! Going to try again after Christmas ā˜ŗļø

I've seen really bad things about them! I wouldn't risk your health, just start with some long brisk walks and dieting etc and you'll soon start to loose it x

Havenā€™t taken them but a few people at work had them and were really poorly- if you go for it make sure itā€™s reputable but Iā€™m not sure how atm as I donā€™t think itā€™s regulated

I've lost a stone in the past month just by calorie counting using the nutracheck app and going for a daily walk when possible. Still able to eat whatever you want just within proportion so you don't necessarily need to "diet." If you can, give something like that a go before trying the injections. It's surprisingly easy once you get on a roll with it and start seeing results, just need a set of kitchen scales! Pre baby, I lost 5 stone in total and rarely went to the gym/did any exercise other than walking (did gain a lot back with pregnancy cravings, though, so I'm starting again now šŸ« ).

Iā€™m 16w into taking mounjaro, just about to step up to 12.5mg. Iā€™ve lost 3stone since I started. I have fibro/ME and a fracture in my spine, so exercise like most can do is not something I can. I already eat a relatively healthy diet, but my portion sizes were way off and I was eating too much of what I was having. So with a significantly reduced appetite and portion sizes itā€™s made a massive difference for myself. I also had severe weight gain from medication prior to pregnancy, which I had never been able to budge. As for side effects, I have had a few, increased physical pain/muscle pain. Constipation, nausea, cramping/pain reactions if I eat high fat food/spicy (pork/dairy/pasties/curry). Iā€™ve also suffered from increased indigestion. Mounjaro isnā€™t cheap, with the top dosed sitting at around Ā£210-250 depending where you get it. Also factor in the added costs of laxatives/indigestion tablets/mild pain relief. I get mine through Medexpress. Iā€™m not only 6kg off 20% total weightloss

Iā€™d say you have to weigh up the risks VS Benefits - Iā€™ve been on it for nearly 6 months Iā€™ve slowly lost 3 stone. But my BMI was classified as very obese so there was risks with that and the risks of taking out weighed for me. I now eat 90% whole foods based no ultra processed foods and itā€™s been great. If you only had a few kilos to loose and not in the overweight category may be better options - defs not an easy option x

Although exercising is really important for your health, in order to loose weight you donā€™t really need it. Itā€™s a matter of eating healthy and be on a calorie deficit. It sounds really tempting going on a thing that promises to give you all you want with no effort. However, always be a wary about such a thing - itā€™s seems to good to be truth.

18 people have died because of them over the last 4 years so thatā€™s enough for me to not use them. I eat 1880 calories a day, 5000 steps a day and 2 litres of water, few weight sessions (I brought dumbbells they were like Ā£50 in Argos) and Iā€™ve lost 23kg since the start of August!x But obvs calories all depend on how much you weigh now, how much you want to lose and how active you are. I recommend MyFitnessPal x

@Nicole first dose is just to get your body used to the meds. You will see a dramatic difference as the dose increases.

If you have the money get it. Life is too short and if you want to lose weight there is no cheating, and if there is, be a cheater all the way. I have a very close person to me that is on it and has lost 20kg, no important side effects, life changing, great result.

@kristi I hope so šŸ¤ž

My brother took them and lost so much weight so fast but he said he never recommends them because as soon as he stopped them the weight just started piling straight back on even though he was still eating healthy and exercising x
