Christmas cookies

A tiny bit random, but does anyone have a Christmas cookie recipe that's more exciting than just "vanilla"? Looking to start a tradition with my LG & make cookies each year. Just wanted to practice this year. 🎄🍪 Tyia

You can just make the cookie dough up and then add whatever you please to it. That’s what I do whether it’s chunks of chocolate or oats and raisins or dried strawberries. I just start with the dough and go from there.

So I want to restart the tradition my mom did when I was little. Make the Pillsbury character cookies and take them to fire stations, police department, etc.

@ᏗᏒᎥᏋᏝ🧜‍♀️ this is adorable!

@Paige I was thinking this... I might play around with spices etc this year haha

I would. I want to start doing a tradition at Christmas with my lo as of next year but not sure what to do yet. So got this year to think about it. She’s just about to turn 4 months so she ain’t even got the foggiest of what’s going on so I’m lucky this year

peanut blossoms are my favorite! they aren’t christmas themed really but it’s a tradition in my family

Google ube crinkle cookies. They taste like chocolate and are purple with icing sugar.

We make “angel wings”. They’re here: https://www.food.com/recipe/polish-angel-wings-chrusciki-359778

You could use the standard vanilla dough recipe and add Christmas flavours such as ginger, cinnamon, chocolate chips, orange zest / extract, almond extract, lemon zest etc.

@Monica these look amazing!!! I might try them too 🤤

@Emilie omg, you've unlocked a memory! I used to eat these with someone (I can't remember who) when I was super little & loved them. 🥹

@Rebecca this is what I'm thinking to do, I forgot about orange zest, so thank you for reminding me of it 😅
