High chair?

Feeding my almost 17 month old has become really difficult when eating in her high chair, she constantly tries to get out will refuse food even though I know she’s hungry. Is everyone else still using a high chair? I was thinking about getting her a small table and chairs as they have this at nursery (I’ve been told she sits down perfectly fine for meals)

We’re still using the highchair as no problems yet but I don’t see why a table and chair would be an issue! Give it a try x

We're about to switch to table and chairs, I found the same with my son at this age sometimes they just respond better to a little independence.

Mines the same (16 month old). It's fucking impossible to feed her in a high chair now. I've recently just sat her on a grown up chair with me next to her and that's the only way she'll eat!

We just sold our highchair as he prefers the table and chairs x

Still using a high chair atm as he’s not fussed but I have bought him a small table and chairs set from ikea for Xmas it was only £25 x

Yeah my son just roams around playing and then goes to and from his high chair tray and picks as he likes now because keeping him contained wasn't working at all

I took the legs off mine and used it as more of a snack table so she's less likely to hurt herself during her attempts to escape. I've also tried it strapped to a dining table chair. But most times I just let her wing it and sit on the sofa or floor 😂

We had this problem and switched to a Tripp Trapp chair which she can climb in and out of but still sit up at the table with us. We tried a mini table and chair first but it was weird not sitting down with her and she just got up and walked away! …We found a second hand Tripp Trapp for £20 on FB marketplace and it’s been great

I got my son a booster seat and he sits at the table with the rest of the family, he sits lovely and eats so well with us , it’s easy to unfasten so we take it with us when we go out for meals and families houses , £16 in Tesco x

I’ve never been happier to see the back of our high chair, I gave it away for free because the sooner it was out of sight the better 😂 my daughter currently uses a toddler tower to eat at the breakfast bar or sits on the sofa until we give her her table and chairs for Xmas!

We’ve just got a little booster seat for our table so he sits with us. He loves it! We did it for space saving and it’s made me realise how fussy he was being in his high chair compared to now
