You should speak to your friends and arrange a day/evening to go out (child free) once you’ve all arranged a day, tell your partner you will be going out from this time & he needs to look after the child, don’t ask, tell (when his day off is) if he’s able to go to the pub to see his pals he’s able to watch HIS child, he is also a parent it is not just you please please remember this it isn’t all down to you. You’re not being dramatic it is honestly the hardest job in the world being a mom and especially if you’re basically doing it on your own when you have a partner. It will get easier I promise, they are still very demanding at that age. As he gets older you will be able to laugh and play together & take him out and conversate with him he will become your little best friend. Even if you can’t make plans with your friends make plans with yourself, go out and have a coffee child free, go and enjoy a meal that’s hot 😅 you’ll feel better just being able to do it on your own x
I have a 4 year old & a 7 week old, I’d be happy to meet up with you and go on a play date. I’m just a message away 🤍
It’s definitely not dramatic! I agree with the comment from Amy though, tell your partner you’re going out… even if it’s just to go to shop by yourself ☺️ I’ve just moved to Tipton which isn’t far at all from Dudley, feel free to give me a message x
This is one thing I’m worried about I haven’t had my baby yet but he’s due in just over a week and I haven’t got anyone to make plans with 😩 I know my partner would have the baby if I needed some time for myself so I feel for you on that part but the loneliness I can completely relate to!
