Bringing pram into the house

I must admit I’m 35 weeks and mine is still at my mums for the same reason!

I had my pram in the house & set up since April & my little boy didn’t come til the 18th August. I did initially have the same thoughts as you but I had no where else to put it really

I had never heard of this thing until after I had my baby, nobody in the family never mentioned it. We were very excited to set up the pram a while before LO was born LOL

We kept ours at my mums for my first, but have had it down from the loft from my second for ages. Felt weird to suddenly put it somewhere else 😂

Yep, it’ll be fine. When I had our second we already had the pram 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ours was in the box in the cupboard under the stairs new for months as it was a bargain in the sale didn't set it up until 35 weeks had her at 36+1 so was glad I didn't wait x

Ours was set up and waiting for him 2 months before he was born.

We got it at week 34 ish. Nowhere else to store it 🤷‍♀️ it was in our flat or in the shop.

We lifted and brought ours home at 37 weeks after a failed ECV and getting our date scheduled for our section. We had one family member give off that we should have kept it at their house instead but I wanted it here and set up ready to go as we only had two weeks left at that point (ours was also a travel system so we needed the car seat installed in case) Have also had close family say if they had a second child they wouldn’t go and take all the stuff back out of the house for fear of ‘bad luck’. Definitely think it’s an older superstition but I would do whatever you want and what will make you feel happy as it’s your baby at the end of the day xx

Depends if you’re superstitious, we had ours a while before. I don’t believe it that sort of thing but it’s up to you

We’ve had ours waiting in the spare room since about August 😅 had a lot of other stuff bought and ready, wasn’t sure what difference the pram would make. Just another old superstition x

Ours has been in the loft for months, don’t believe in the whole bad luck thing.

I’ve had mine set up in my home since about 24 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️ We don’t believe in the “bad luck” superstition stuff that people spout a lot in pregnancy

My prams been out and set up in the hall way for a few weeks now. Glad I did as it really did come with that new item smell which I couldn’t bare, I actually had it out side in our garden for a day 😅now at least it smells like the environment baby will be in.

Thanks everyone I think we will bring the pram to our house and get it all set up i just can’t wait🥹

We've had ours since 30 weeks! We wanted our cats to get used to it and get it to air out etc!

The pram is in the shed as its the same one we used for my daughter. It was delivered to my house (with nowhere else to go) about 3months before she actually arrived. I didnt know anything about the "bad luck" till my sister told me, by that point we already had it all set up in the room x

We’ve had ours in the house for weeks, not set up (got it out of the box to check it over) and it’s been in the cupboard since. It’s a bit of an old wives tale when people say it brings bad luck
