Doing house chores with a baby… ?

I just want to get on here and ask how do y’all do housework while having a baby? Mine doesn’t want to be put down for very long so I can’t finish a task like ever. Just wondering, what do you guys do? Any advice? Also note I am a single mother so I don’t have a partner to help.

Wear the baby. It’s the only way

Wear the baby, use a baby swing/bouncer, I had a baby seat that my daughter loved and when she got bigger, she used a walker

I’ve tried that and it’s very difficult to do the dishes while baby wearing plus I can’t use any chemicals . I’m scared to reach over while wearing her. I always have to keep one hand on her. So that’s not an option for me.. 😕

Which baby seat was it? I’m looking into getting one I’m just not sure which one

Play pen , musical toys and ms Rachel keeps my baby distracted just enough to get the housework done

I have the skip hop activity center which keeps my daughter entertained while I clean

Lol I feel you! So I tried baby wearing but with my ADHD, I jump round from room to room and I nearly knocked her out against the door frame a few times 😅😅😅 I tried the mamaroo when she was a couple of months old - she hated it. We don't use our TV, I'm not sure why I bother having it on the wall as I forget it's there! When she was younger, I would set up a little area where she could play while I cleaned around her. I would constantly talk to her and be visible. I haven't been able to use chemicals like I used to😓 Since she has been crawling/walking along things, i will play chase. So I'll start cleaning and she will either follow me in or i call her and she will crawl in, she will pull herself up on something and i will chat to her or have a dance and she will 'dance'. If she's in a moaning mood then ill set up her toys for her. Other times I'll put toys in her cot with her, constantly talk/sing to her, put some music near the cot and pop my head in every 2 seconds so she can see that I will return

I remember with my first I felt very overwhelmed with figuring out how to do house chores plus cooking. I bounced back and forth between baby wearing and setting him up in his playpen (I had a big one the middle of the living room) I'd put him in there with toys and he'd be content. Now that he's 2.5 and I have my 6 month daughter I either put her in her bouncer I let her have some playtime on the floor with her brother or I clean when they're asleep which makes it so much easier, quicker and peaceful 😂

It’s really hard. But it gets easier as they get older so hold on to that. Now that baby is sitting she can play on the floor next to me while I sort laundry. If I lay with her in her play space for a few minutes often she’ll get engaged with her toys and I can run off and make lunch or clean something up real quick. Or, I put her on my back in the carrier especially for things like cooking.
