When to start mat leave?

When is everyone planning to start their mat leave? I'm due on the 5th Feb and currently have the last 2 weeks of Jan booked off as annual leave and then mat leave officially starts at the beginning of Feb. Now trying to decide if I should just finish up at Christmas instead of going back in Jan 🤔

I had a months annual leave to use which starts tomorrow for a month, then my mat leave starts 1st Jan and I’m due 1st Feb x

I am due on 7 Feb:):) I'll be on annual leave from 27 Jan and I'll start mat leave when the baby comes

I'm starting mine three weeks before my due date, but I can take some annual leave before hand if I need to.

Due 7th Feb and finish work on 24th. I could take annual leave before this or work from home if I’m struggling

If you can work I’d recommend just working tbh. The more time you take off at the start the less time you have on the other end. My mat leave date is the date my baby is due and it stays that way unless I find myself unable to continue working xx

I think it totally depends on you tbh. I’m due 28th feb burt having a section so in 10 days before for that. I’m taking mat leave 20th January. I get married that week and would’ve been taking time off anyways. Plus gives me time to sort the house out before baby comes aswell as having time to just relax. I have a toddler who will be at childminders until the week I have baby so I’ll be making the most of that time 😂 I’m keeping my holidays for the end of my maternity so that I’ll get full pay at the end of the year rather than taking it before x

I’m due 4th Feb and my last day is 19th December

I’m also due the 5th Feb 🥰 So planning on taking one week annual leave the end of Jan and start Mat leave 3rd Feb. From Jan I can work from home if needed, and majority I will be doing a handover. I must say I’m looking forward to the two week Christmas break from the 20th Dec. Commuting into London is exhausting as well as struggling with back and hip pain 24/7 it seems xx

I'm due 27th February & finishing work on 14th February, so ill be 38 weeks +1. I'm adding my annual leave to the end of my maternity leave so I get longer off with baby 🥰

I’m due 8th Feb and finishing work 19th Dec. I work in a college so will be finishing when the students break up for Christmas. Mat leave will officially start on the 6th Jan though :)

Im due 13th Feb and mat leave starts 31st Jan. im saving my annual leave for the end of my mat leave x
