Carpal tunnel

Was anyone else diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome during pregnancy? My doctor told me to “ignore it, it’s normal in pregnancy” but I feel like it’s getting worse and the tips of my fingers are literally numb. I’ve ordered splints arriving Monday but I’m worried it’s something else and it’s just being missed! I have 5/6 weeks left until my due date 🤯

My midwife told me that’s what’s wrong with me too and I’m 6 weeks away and definitely getting worse. Apparently it will slowly disappear after pregnancy but I feel your pain. 😣

I had this. It came on in my third trimester and got so bad. It did completely subside after giving birth

I didn’t get it in pregnancy but I had it postpartum, I have been given splints to wear for 3 months. They also did a blood test to make sure I didn’t have an iron deficiency. The splints have really helped, I no longer wake up with numb hands and the pain has gone. My blood came back that I was low in iron so I take supplements for 3 months. It is a common symptom during pregnancy and should go away once you’re had baby but it’s so uncomfortable. I couldn’t pick up my baby in the mornings straight away because I could t feel anything.

@Nicole same!

I had this in the last few weeks too! Was so so uncomfortable so I feel your pain! The wrist supports will definitely help especially at night! And literally the day I had my baby it stopped! But I think it can be very very normal so try not to worry:)

Omg I had it so bad during pregnancy! Unfortunately nothing I did gave me relief (I ordered splints also). But literally once I had her it went away! So hopefully it does the same for you🤗

Mines the same. I had an emergency section and I kid you not within 2 hours of giving birth all the feeling came back 😂 it was WILD!
