Mucus plug
I’m quite worried today I think my hole mucus plug came out… and I have been having strange shooting pains In my vagina and the most weirdest pulsing feeling on and off.
Is this a concern? So unsure with this being my first 😣
I have messaged my midwife but she hasn’t replied yet 😰

Your mucus plug can grow back if worried always call triage 🫶🏼
I would call triage maybe get checked out, mucus plug can regenerate but if your having tightness and contractions maybe call

Losing your mucus plug isn’t always an indicator that labour is imminent but it is a worry that midwives should know about asap so they can check you out and see if labour has started. Some people go into labour soon after losing their mucus plug and others go weeks. I think the fact you have the pains and pulsing is enough for me to think you should call your urgent midwife line though and go into triage and be seen xx

I would definitely call your midwife unit I wouldn’t wait in a reply especially at the weekend. I believe your mucus plug can grow back with accompanied with pains and pressure you’re definitely best getting checked asap xx
