Does anyone else’s toddler not want to go upstairs at bedtime or just mine
He will literally follow me around all day come upstairs whenever I come up but at bedtime he runs away from me and I can literally not get him to come to bed peacefully
I think that's pretty common. Have you tried using play to transition him from downstairs to upstairs? We go from downstairs to upstairs for a bath which is the start of the bedtime routine and what I usually do is let him know with a 5 minute warning that we are headed up, so he knows what's coming. Then when it's time I ask him what car he would like to bring to the bath. That's something he likes to have in there to play with. Or I'll sayn, should we go upstairs and do strawberries which is a game (he named lol) of rough housing with the pillows on the bed a little bit. Kids have a hard time with transitions but if you bring some aspect of play into the transition that helps a ton. 🙌🏽
