What on earth is going on?

I had IUI on 22nd November. My period is supposed to start on 5th Dec Without even realising it, I put a sanitary towel in my pants yesterday. Then did the same thing today. I've never absent mindedly done this. Am I losing my mind, or, is my big subconsciously readying for a period which means IUI has failed?
