Pillow and duvet?

I read not to introduce a pillow and duvet until little one is in a bed. So far my little boy is 19 months and he's still been fine in his sleeping bag.
My little boy had one from about 5 months and it helped him sleep a lot better than he did previously although he's still not the best sleeper.
@Sophie do you know why this is??
@Libby I think it's because they can be a suffocation risk when squashed up against the side of the cot. But I'm not 100% sure - I can only recommend you do your own research and decide what you're happy with. For us, we didn't see a problem with continuing with a sleeping bag so that removes the dilemma!
@Sophie I tuck the duvet under the mattress and around the sides like you’re told to do with a newborn and she sleeps at the bottom of the cot but like you said it’s best to do your own research and what you’re comfortable doing x
When I move my girl into a bed. So just over 2.5. Even then she doesn’t tend to use the pillows and rolls around the bed. I wouldn’t bother with a pillow for your 13 MO
12 months for my daughter as she learned to climb out of her crib. 12 months for my son, but he was in my bed still, so it didn't really matter
My little man is 12months and he just has his sleep bag. He rolls around the cot so much and ends up in all different directions and orientations. I have no plans to introduce a pillow introduce for a while
My son has a duvet at 22m but that’s because he was too tall even for 2-3 year old sleep sacks and now he sleeps so much better in the night. Can’t get him used to a pillow though I have tried so going to leave that for now. For reference he’s still in his cot.
I would leave LO with a sleep sack as long as you can because it’s more difficult to climb out wearing a sleep sack. We introduced a pillow at 20m old. She likes it a lot now but sometimes she rolls around and ends up sleeping without it
Don’t add anything to the crib
I introduced a pillow at 9 months and duvet at 10 months as my little girl was a terrible sleeper and I was trying everything and this worked perfectly for us x
