Merlin sleep suit

Has anyone tried the Merlin magic sleep suit? Or dream sack? It sounds to good to be true?

Just to let you know, weighted sleep sacks are a big danger especially if you have baby who’s gotten a cold. They restrict breathing and are far too heavy for a little baby. Magic Merlin isn’t weighted from my knowledge but works by restricting movements and could be a big danger when you have a roller/active baby since they can’t correct how they lay. There’s plenty of people who swear by those products but that doesn’t remove their dangers. I’d absolutely say to good to be true.

It’s the best thing ever! Baby sleeps through the night. Don’t let people scare you. It’s not weighted at all. It’s just a thicker suit that makes them feel safe. Nothing wrong with that

The Merlin suit is not weighted, nor is it heavy. You cannot use it when they start to roll either. It does soften the startle reflex but does not get rid of it (like a swaddle). My son can still touch his face while wearing it (not super easily, but he can). However when he sleeps he does scrunch his legs up and has a hard time getting his legs back in the leg holes. When he doesn't scrunch he sleeps fairly well, but it's not 'magic' by any means for us.

It is magic like they say! It’s not weighted either, I’m not sure where that came from. They state it clearly on their website. It does have a weight requirement and my 14lb son moves his arms and legs with ease. We started him in it at 12lbs and he sleeps through the night minus 1 - 20 minute dream feed.

My daughter hated this suit and did not sleep in it. She would kick and angry babble when we put it on. I think it's too thick. She doesn't like her arms and legs constrained.

We’ve used the Merlin and baby seems to like it, helps her be a bit more calm when we get her in it. She’s always been a good sleeper though. Bonus that she looks adorable in it like a baby starfish or something 🥺
