Tips on how to change nappies without screen time?

After she stopped lying down for nappy changes I used to stand her at a table to look at books but eventually this stopped working and she'd run away so I unfortunately resorted to showing her short video clips of Disney music and the like on YouTube. I hate doing this though and really would rather she have very little to no screen time on a daily basis. Just holding her down isn't something I'm willing to do. What do you do to handle nappy changes?

Pull-ups??

Nappy times are a huge battle for us too. We sometime battle or let him watch something on our phones/look through photos. I find he’s more cooperative if we do most just wet changes stood up. I know it’s not what we think is good parenting but at the end of the day your taking care of little ones basic needs so a little screen time to achieve this is fine don’t feel guilty about it !

I let mine take the bag of nappy to the bin himself so he actually likes the nappy change. I let him pull out the wipes. I clap his feet together and kiss them which makes him laugh. We also do pull ups so I change him when he stands for wees

@Robyn We use pull-ups but she just doesn't like standing still for the change

We also resorted to the screen but now find the window spinners seem to do the trick, he just holds it and spins it while we change him as quick as we can!

I give my daughter a busy toy that she likes that normally works for her

I went away over Christmas recently, before the trip I used to rely on screens to help with nappy changes. Whilst away I didn't just cos of access and sometimes we'd be busy with family. I ended up just changing him while he stood up. This seemed to help, also the five days away was a long enough break to get him used to no screens for nappy or breakfast. I'm keeping this up as it's probably healthier for him. In hindsight I'd just stop using the screen cold turkey and change him more on the go when he is distracted.
