My 3 year old girl has become very shy since last 6 months
She was always a very friendly baby
Use to smile at the stranger and now if our friends or relatives say her hello she will hide her face with hands
I try to talk to her but she does the same everytime
Has started going daycare from this week
Some kids (and adults!) are just shy, that’s just their temperament. My little one (almost 3) will hide behind his hands when he meets people for the first time or sees someone he doesn’t know really well, then once he warms up he’s happy to interact with them. I would just reassure her and let her take her time to warm up and feel comfortable with them. If you push her to engage she may become more anxious and less willing to engage
