Excessive thirst

Hi! I’m almost 6 weeks along… I’ve noticed I’ve started having excessive thirst. Even when I drink a lot of water I still feel thirsty. I’m drinking so much I feel extremely bloated. This happened in my last pregnancy (in third trimester) but I was never diagnosed with gestational diabetes despite being tested over and over. I’m just worried that the excessive thirst is happening so early in my pregnancy. Anyone else experiencing this?

I tested positive just shy of 4 weeks and have felt this so hard since then (about a week) 🥵

@Lauren I drank soooo much yesterday that I felt like I was going to explode! I was sooo uncomfortable with the bloating. And today I couldn’t stop drinking water either!

Me! I’m at 5 weeks and drink at minimum 3 refills of my 40oz water bottles. And it doesn’t quench it!

I ordered some electrolytes so I’m hoping that helps because waking up in the middle of the night dying for water is no fun 🤞🏼

@Lauren everyone has a different preference but my favorite pre pregnancy and into pregnancy is Go Ultima! And it switches up just plain water

I’m on my week 7 and last two weeks have been super thirsty! I drink almost all the time but just a little by little. Got all the blood tests on Tuesday and no diabetes. I was told it’s totally normal, I was told to also eat in little pieces as soon as I feel very thirsty as that’s the body saying that I need to eat. I felt much food aversion and don’t want to eat. So I guess this is the way the body is forcing food intake too. I’m sure you are ok

I had this with my first! So normal. The body is doing SO MUCH in this first trimester with placenta setting up shop and getting enough fluid in the uterus around baby.
