Can't feel BH contractions

Maybe this is a blessing, I don't know, but I went in for reduced movements a couple of weeks ago and baby kicked up and was fine, but I was having loads of Braxton hicks contractions. I had no idea. The midwife wanted to get the doctor to check me because of them, but luckily I was not in early labour. Both of them looked shocked when I said I felt nothing and when I looked at the curves on the chart I can see why! Anyway, it's been on my mind since then because I just cannot feel them at all, and I wonder if I'll be able to feel contractions if I go into labour. I know these are more intense and different, but my grandma has no freaked me out as she told me all her babies came hard and fast, no labour signs until the last minute. Now I'm panicking that I'll be the same. My grandma had every child at home, early and very quick. Things were very different back then, but all her births progressed so fast and she said she wouldn't have known she was in labour each time 😭 She said she never felt BH either, I'm panicking over nothing probably, but I have placenta praevia and have to have a c section so I'm scared of what happens if labour started early. I'm 38 weeks. Are there any other odd signs of labour I can look for?

If it helps I haven’t felt any BH and I’m 39 weeks. I keep thinking my pregnancy will be the same as my mums but we have just as many differences in experience as similarities so no guarantee you’ll be the same as your grandma x

Thanks for posting this it’s very reassuring as i’m 38 + 2 and haven’t felt any braxton hicks at all. It’s definitely a blessing having them and not feeling them 😅

@Jessica true I think I'm just more anxious now the time is drawing near
