Does anyone else’s baby have bad dreams?

When my baby (4 months) has bad dreams she’ll wake up out her sleep and scream crying, she usually sleeps in bed with us so we’re never far but I’ve noticed she only does it if she’s sleeping in bed with my mom or my sister. But with me and my husband she doesn’t. My mom was saying it’s from watching criminal minds around her so I stopped but she still does

My daughter used to get night terrors when she was like 2/3. It was the scariest ish ever! She would wake up screaming like she was being stabbed or something and she slept with me so I would jolt awake. You couldn’t really seem to wake her out of it so just had to keep by her and she wouldn’t even remember it when she woke up! She was a huge horror movie buff but wasn’t afraid of anything so I didn’t start keeping her from scary movies. It’s just a normal part of development for some kiddos I’ve learned. My son who’s 4 has never had one before. I watch a lot of crime shows but they are occupied with their own stuff so not paying attention so I feel it’s fine to watch it. I would think at only 4 months, she doesn’t know what’s on tv so I wouldn’t worry too much about that! Enjoy watching your shows momma! It could just be a comfort thing too as it doesn’t happen with you or your husband.

So, I honestly dont think its nightmares at that age. For a baby to have nightmares they need a developed imagination, which generally doesnt exist until 1.5-2 years. Which is why watching Criminal Minds has NOTHING to do with it. If she does it while sleeping with others rather than with you/dad, then it's more than likely seperation anxiety, which is totally developmentally appropriate.

@Stephanie thank youuu cause I haven’t watched it in 2 weeks cause she’s not napping much anymore and I miss my man hotchner

@Kira thank youuu

@Necharia also, idk how long this has bern going on, but almost everyone says the 4 month sleep regression is the worst one, so that could be playing a role too 😅

It’s normal for then to scream/cry while the sleep. My daughter was the same if she was asleep far away from me. She still does she 11 months soon. I wouldn’t worry too much about it but if you’re worried talk to your HV team. They might be able to advise you on way to reduce it. Wouldn’t be crimal minds. I watch horror and loads of murder crime stuff. I’ve noticed when I watch them she actually sleeps better (maybe a physco in the making 🤣🤣🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️joke) they don’t understand fully or at all what that’s about. X

@Ange yeah my baby loves watching it with me, she pays attention the entire show

@Necharia see sometimes relax is good. I mean before nap this morning we watched stitch she feel asleep watching 🤣
