Baby not eating

My 11 month old will not take formula from a sippy cup or bottle, and barely eats any solids, he will only breastfeed. I’m back at work and he doesn’t eat and doesn’t drink any milk throughout the day. He just throws it and refuses it. I’m working full time and I’m so concerned about this. Has anyone else been in the same boat? He’s offered a variety of foods and textures, and offered the bottle throughout the day

Has he been offered expressed milk? Just wondering if he's more likely to take it than formula. And was he previously eating and drinking well before you went back to work? How long has this been going on for? If you need to keep breastfeeding (not ideal I imagine, but not sure what else you can do! At least in the short term until LO hopefully takes bottle/solids) your work has to make allowances for this I believe.

@SophieYes, he won’t take anything from a bottle or sippy cup, just the odd bit of water. He’s not taken from the bottle since 3 months and he’s now 11 months, it’s just more of an issue now I’m back at work. He’s at nursery so I’m not able to breastfeed him during the day. I really wouldn’t be as worried if he ate solids well (but he’ll only have a tiny bit), as he has a morning and evening breastfeed and is still feeding during the night. I want to stop breastfeeding altogether but that’s become a battle for another time. Everyone has kept saying that he’ll have the formula if he’s hungry, but strangely that doesn’t seem to be the case and he’ll have a maximum of 20ml if anything

Oh gosh that's really hard- has he never been that keen on solids or is it a being at nursery thing? Do you reckon he's starving hungry by the time he gets home? What you don't want to happen is him relying on getting his calories only at night - how often is he feeding during the night now? I'm not sure what the answer is though, whether you should try and cut down the amount of milk he's having at night to make him hungrier in the day? It sounds a bit mean doesn't it 😔

I had a battle moving from breastfeeding to bottle feeding but it was actually the night feeds where I had the most success albeit he was younger than yours. I just kept giving him the bottle at night and it probably took a few weeks until he got used to the taste. I also had to try a few different bottles (only tommee tippee worked for us) but I think it’s just being absolutely consistent with it (although appreciate there is a point where he just needs calories in).
