How to stop toddler soaking through at night?

We’ve used pampers pants for a while but I’ve got the tabs ones now hoping they’ll be better. He’s in a togged sleepsuit so washing it daily is a pain!

I recommend sizing up and no fluids for an hour or two before bed.

Try the overnight diapers too! And I second sizing up at night. Sizing up helped up for a while then we stuck with the size up and started using overnights

You can get + size pampers which are more absorbent for night. The premium protection ones work best for us personally. Some size up at night and I have at times sized up as a double nappy, so any leaks go into the over nappy rather than leak out xx

@Ashlee how does sizing up help? He’s in a 5 and they fit him well so I’m wondering if a 6 would be really big!

@Ani ok thank you! Will keep a look out for those. He’s covered some mornings so may need to double up!

A larger nappy size is designed for a larger kid and more absorbency in it! So with most nappies the fit won’t be ideal for running about in the day at night a larger one can usually be fine but hold more. Tabbed nappies adjust and pants are stretchy so definitely try xx

The size up diaper will hold more pee. Since you're using the ones with the tabs you can typically get them to fit the waist ok especially under pj's which should be snug fitting. This worked well for us when kiddo was wearing size 4 and we sized up to 5s at night. I don't know how much of a difference there is in size between 5 & 6. My kiddo is now in size 5s and the overnight diapers are enough for him

We had to size up and use overnight diapers. Also make sure his little man is pointing down. Not up or to the side.

We use the 4+ at night and 4 during the day of Pampers. We use the pull ups as they feel like they allow for more movement than the tabbed nappies as baby is a wriggler. The '+' nappies are the same size just more absorbant. Another tip I've read is to use a cloth nappy cover over the top at night as extra protection.

Size up any time there's a leak. I also change mine if he has a bottle in the night

And worth getting another sleep suit so it’s not so annoying to wash it every night

Sizing up and check they’re warm enough. Weeing more and wetting through is often a sign they’re cold :)

Try putting reusable cloth diapers over the disposable diapers.

We use night time nappy pants, they typically start at size 5. They’re really good, we use Morrisons home brand.

@Zainab🗝️ I wish we could do this my toddler cries if she doesn’t have her drink in bed with her 🫣

@Jess I just checked her age. Definitely understandable. I did one size up over night diapers when they were that age. A bit more expensive but worth it for my sanity.

Pampers Premium Protection nappies in the appropriate size. Don’t size up as too much bagging can cause leaks! Also recommend vest extenders so the nappy isn’t restricted, noticed a huge difference since we started using them!

I use cloth he’s never ever leaked at night, you can buy disposable boosters on Ama and put that inside the diaper for more absorbency. With cloth we just add another insert if we need more absorbency

Pampers leaked for us we use the 5+ with tabs from sainsburys at night. Daytime he's in an aldi size 7 pullup so the sizing is different between brands Also if he will do a goodnight wee on potty that helps too. Mine did last night but tonight said no lol

Sizing up didn’t help me, because they were then too big it ended up leaking from the legs no matter how tight I made them! The ones that fit him didn’t have the right absorbency for night time so ultimately I got 2 piece cloth nappies and never had a leak since! Worst part is the leaking would have him wake up in the middle of the night because he was wet and cold so was a nightmare!
