Youâre not failing. Is your child happy and healthy? Then no youâve not failed your child. My son is 4 and is now starting to talk, I havenât failed him and Iâve fought to get him the support he needs. Heâs delayed compared to other children but heâs happy so thatâs all that matters. Everyone goes at their own pace, keep and eye and early intervention is the best. We also speak 2 languages in our home/school life.
@Kimberley thank you xxx
Honestly so much pressure on us mums and little children.. youâre doing great, keep pushing for answers etc but sometimes it just clicks out of nowhere. My sons mouth doesnât stop itđ€Łxxx
honestly i hate them health visitors mine is so condescending and patronising. every baby is different !! my daughter turned 14 months yesterday and has her entire own language but wonât mimic me. if i tell her to say something sheâll just laugh at me. but the way she doesnât stop talking in her language all day just means sheâs taking talking at her own pace. i know when sheâs ready to form proper words she will!
@Sam yes my daughter keeps babbling away aswell, talks to her toys and her dolls and sounds super cute. But refuses to say mama haha
same! sheâll even point her finger in a passionate discussion and start telling me off in minion language. sheâs already talking she just doesnât know how to put the vowels together properly but sheâll learn as will your little one !
Nah i do 2 languages too but super inconsistently xD my boy prefers signing, since that is the one thing I chose not to focus on. That's just how it goes. They sign in nursery and he's like OOOH FANCY I WANNA DO THAT! They're just sent to test u. In the cutest ways đ„°đ
