I don't think you were asking about screen time advice, but The Walking Dead is a terrible show choice for a child. And Ms Rachel is amazing.
@heather Each to their own but if you look into it itās more harmful than you realise and itās designed to be addictive, itās not hard to find the research. Just sharing info that I wish Iād known earlier no need to have a dig.

She didnāt ask whether or not screen time was okay, she asked whether a certain programme was okay. Iām sure sheās done her own research about it, she doesnāt need you spamming her with links. OP, Iād say the walking dead would be harmful but Ms Rachel is fantastic. Snoop Dogg has his own show thatās pretty cool for kids, itās all animated.
š¤·š½āāļø Iām not spamming Iām sharing valuable info which I wished Iād discovered from the start. Iām not forcing anyone to look at it, itās there if youāre interested. No need to attack me for sharing information in relation to the op. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_S_im4IOZG/?igsh=MWlseHd0anR6Z2RsNQ==
People sometimes post incognito when they want to invoke a reaction. Iām not being judgemental I shared some information that is all
I mean, the source of your 'research' and 'valuable information' is from Instagram.. š¤·āāļøš¤¦āāļø
My sons favorite movie is ghost busters the frozen empire, itās definitely not something Iād say is appropriate for every 2 year old to watch, but weāve raised our son to be very aware that stuff on the tv is not real & we control if we continue watching it or not. š¤·āāļø Weāve watched horror movies like normal since my son has been born. If heās bothered or scared in anyway we turn it off & put something else on to emphasize that none of it is real. I was raised on old school dr who, the twilight zone & shitty scify channel horror movies tho š¤·āāļø so
@Heather I just had that to hand, not everything you see on instagram is valuable but there are some great experts and info freely available, itās up to each of us how much we explore anything in relation to our children. Iām not on here to fight with people, if itās of no interest to you thatās ok šš¼
I made my almost 2 year old watch sex lives of college girls with me because it was time for a mommy show š„²š
Extremely bad idea girlie :,) I was watching this and all kinds of shows like this with my 1st and I saw her actually *watching* them and it made me feel extremely convicted. Itās not edgy or cute to put your kids on horrific shit. Thatās gonna give him nightmaresā¦ and nightmares typically start coming around at age 3. I watched my SD have constant nightmares pretty much up until she was like 6 bc her mom watched anything and everything around her. She claimed to ālove scary moviesā and never be scared of anytning. But she had night terrors all the time. Iām also a firm believer that that stuff is evil, the same way the music you listen to can shape your thoughts and stuff. Watching stuff will mess with you too. We havenāt allowed stuff like that in our home for about 3 years now.
i would say definitely not a good idea. ik itās hard to watch boring kids shows all the time but their little brains are soaking up everything and even of it doesnāt affect your kid now i think those images will remain and could cause problems later. we made the mistake of watching trailer park boys and about a week ago my kid started swearing like a sailor even tho he didnāt seem to be interested in the show or picking up the language he absolutely was soaking it all up.

No. My daughter watches zombie shows and what not. If she gets scared we make jokes about monsters and āscary facesā and now at 3 sheās totally fine. My daughter likes Mad maxx over any kid show cuz of the cars and bikes which she has a huge interest in. I was exposed to horror films young and I have always loved them. No I didnāt get nightmares Over watching stuff like that. I have more nightmares as an adult over true crime than anything I saw as a child that was labed horror. I think to each their own. Itās not like there are sex scenes in the walking dead
Any tv and screen time can be harmful for very young/developing brains, do your research, WHO recommends 0 mins for under 2yo.. ms Rachel is more harmful than you know, so Iām pretty sure the walking dead could be very harmful to a child . I personally think itās not a good idea to allow this
