Sweep & cramps

40+3 and had a third sweep today. 50% effaced, 1cm dilated and Bishop score of 6 at appointment. The sweep was 3 hours ago. For two and a half hours, I have had quite painful cramps and lower back pain coming on in waves. I know this is incredibly common with sweeps but just wondering if anyone had this and then went into labour? If not labour, when will they subside? The cramps feel quite intense. And they’ve not eased at all.
