Belly dropping
For those of you that have had babies before, how long before Labour did your bump drop?
Last appointment baby was 4/5 engaged but he pops in and out. Today my bump has definitely dropped and my lightening crotch has been awful.

@GABRIELA 4/5 is almost fully engaged. 1/5 is nowhere near

They didn’t mention it to me either but it was put in on badger notes so maybe check yours!

I think different areas do this differently. Both areas I’ve been at they’ve used it the other way. So 4/5 he’s been almost fully engaged. I’ve asked specifically and they’ve said this is how it works x

My girl was engaged and even got to 1/5 before due date, bump dropped and had a bit of lightning crotch, kept thinking she’d be here early and she was 15 days overdue after induction/emcs. I’m 34 weeks now and had some bad lightning crotch earlier and baby is head down. It’s just a flip of a coin of whether it has any impact on labour being close.
