Baby balding

Hi, I understand some babies loose hair at the back of their head after they are born due to it friction where they lay down but I’ve noticed my baby losing it round the hairline as you can see top photo is before bottom photo is today. But I’ve never heard of it round the front before it’s like she’s receding. Have any of you experienced this before? do you think is this pretty normal? Or should I get it seen to? She’s still got loads at the back weirdly.

Just did a quick search as ours is going through something similar at the front; apparently it’s hormonal and should come back - says if it’s going out in patches and isn’t growing back by the 1st birthday then it’s something to contact doctors about x

My mother in law said this happened when my husband was a baby. His hair came back :)

My daughter lost all her dark hair and it grew back blonde xx

This is totally normal. Both of mine lost all their hair on the top at around 6 weeks. My daughters grew back fine and I can see the hair coming back on my little boy

My daughter also had this. I was worried as I thought it should only be at the back of their head but on the top is normal too. It also happened to my sister’s children so nothing to worry about. My daughter’s hair has just started to grow back too. She’s nearly 8 weeks old!

My son went completely bald, it's normal it all grew back

Totally normal. All three of my boys went bald on top, we called them our little monks 🤣 my girl hasn't lost any, but I haven't washed her hair yet , so maybe that's why?

Thank you all of your comments. I just had never heard of it going from the top before only the back which was a worry. Glad to hear that she’s not the only one that has had it and it grow back. Hopefully will go back soon. Xx

This happened to my LB ! Takes a little while to grow back but he now has a full head of hair ☺️( 12 months old now ) x
