No. If we are out and about and he is tired he might ask for a dummy but he's only allowed if if he's going to sleep. E.g he's going into his carseat and it's naptime
Does have them at naptimes and at night though
As soon as he wakes up, if he keeps his dummy in I will say 'why have tou still got your dummy' and he will laugh and pop it out and fling it dramatically to the other side of the cot
He is 2 years 4 months, I should add and our baby is due May
Try limit the amount of naps he has it with only give him it on a night time get him use to not having it if you know what I mean x
Make it a game say he’s got to put his dummy in a bag attach it to a ballon to send the new baby before they arrive or say to send all the new baby’s
We only use it for actual bed time, when he wakes up he will go and put it in my bedside drawer. We don’t give it to him for naps anymore at all. Personally I’d do the transition to toddler bed first then remove the dummy because at least then there’s some comfort if they need it.
Definitely get rid of dummy asap. I think it will be easier than you think.
We did toddler bed at 2, and God rid of dummy at 2.5. I figured it would be too much of a change to do it all at once
Does your baby have the dummy during the day ?
