School is coming and I am NOT ready
Hey guys,
My daughter will be 5 in July so that means she’s supposed to start Kindergarten in August right? I’m freaking out. She is so smart and is really excited and ready school but she’s been home with me since she was born… How do I not only prepare her but prepare myself for this change??? I’m getting anxious typing this out 😫

Im right there with you. Mine turns 5 next month. Im thinking about holeschooling at least the first year. Ive always planned to but now that its time and in school online idk what to do. The idea of sending her to school is terrifying and I hate that Id be away from her so long.
Go you! I was thinking homeschooling too but I’m not sure I’d be able to keep up with the curriculum with my WFH job, and plus she wants to go so bad. I don’t want her to miss out bc I’m scared, but I also wanna keep her safe. Just so much to think about…

And I think he’s far behind …he been with me since he was born too
I completely understand. There’s so much to think about. How do we get them ready to be away from us? My daughter still thinks I’m going to be at school with her

lol literally. I know we got this… I’m gonna work on not overthinking in the meantime 🥴
Mine did a full year last year with half days (she started with 3 days a week it’s like 2.5 hours then after about 3.5 months she went to 5 days a week doing 2.5 hours) this year most of the kids went to full day or a few went to K so we went to full day because my daughter was excited too and she’s been loving it! She was tired at first but i prepared like myself internally to the fact that it’ll be rough and she’ll be tired the first few months but otherwise it’s been good! If they want a day at home or you want to take a family vacation and it’s a school just remember that’s ok (as long it’s not constantly lol) they love being with other kids and experiencing new things
Omg how are these babies going to be 5 already?! Mine will be 5 in July too. So nervous but excited for her to start school. I had her take a gymnastics class yesterday just so she can get used to being around new people and she did great. It helped me see that she was confident.
