Baby girls name
Just a wee question, we named my daughter Alaina Jane and we pronounce it Ah-lay-nah.
We liked the name Elena but i didnt want her to be nicknamed ellie as I have a few friends called ellie and a cousin.
If I didn’t say the pronunciation would you assume it is how you say it or would you think its pronounced differently? x

Yes my niece is spelt Alayna pronounced the same way as yours but I would read alaina as “a-lay-nah”. Some people even read my name and say alayna somehow 🤦🏻♀️
