Congestion relief

Hi everyone. I use the nose frida snot sucker for my baby who is almost 5 months old. When he was younger he didn’t mind it, but he has a cold at the moment and when I try to do it it’s awful. He hates it and twists away and gets so upset. It makes me feel awful. We use the snuffle babe rub, saline spray, calpol plug ins and snuffle babe vapour bath bubbles, but does anyone have any other recommendations to help clear his nose? I just feel so bad using the snot sucker, as I’m worried it might be uncomfortable and that’s why he gets so upset. Thank you!

I use snuffle babe vapour oil in water and humidifier that way my little one could inhale while asleep. Seems to work well.

We have the Braun electric snot sucker. You can turn the suction on and then quickly pop on the nostril so it works really quickly. Found that we could get some snot even when baby riggled and before getting too upset because your not having to faff around holding it up and then sucking yourself

Take him into bathroom and run the shower for some steam then try using saline drops. Taking ny girl out for a walk helps too on top of everything that you mentioned.

We use basically everything by Snuffle babe. We also use the Olbas Oil for children. I put a few droplets on a facecloth and hold it nearby and it helps clear my daughter’s nose quite quickly.
