Can a child attend nursery with conjunctivitis?

My child’s eye is pretty bad, and obviously it’s very contagious. Not dealt with this before but google has a mixed bag of answers and can’t ask nursery till tomorrow!

My son’s nursery let him in with it, and they knew about it. Not sure if different nursery’s have different rules though c

Under nhs guidelines yes, ring up in morning x

My nursery allows this as long as they’re okay in themselves and we prefer a heads up when you drop off!

I kept my son home the first day cuz he was really bad, but nursery confirmed he could go if he was getting treatment

My son’s nursery allow it but just double check as many have different policies x

Every Nursery has their own policy. I used to work somewhere where they were allowed back in once they had eye drops for the first 24 hours and we continued it at nursery.

My sons nursery doesn’t let them go in unless it’s being treated

Thanks everyone, they’re also saying it needs 24 hours of treatment first x
