Sleep routine (nap and bedtime)

Please tell me what time your 2.5 year old goes to bed, what time they wake up and what time they nap (if they do still nap). Really struggling to get it right, she’s either overtired going to bed and having a meltdown or not tired enough and doesn’t want to go to sleep.

My lg is 3 in June. She goes to bed at 7pm she’s normally asleep by 7.30. Wake up at 7.30 am ( I wake her up for school & nursery. She doesn’t always have a nap I’d say 2 days out of 7 she will nap. Normally at 3 when I’m picking my other two up from school. She still goes to bed at 7 and won’t sleep until say 8. Today I got her to nap at 1.45 she woke up around 3.15 she went to bed at 6.45 and was asleep by 7.15

With no nap start the day anything between 6am-7am bedtime is always 6pm - 6.30pm With a nap wake up is anything between 6am - 7am naps for 30mins only then bedtime at 7pm

8ish bedtime (sometimes earlier sometimes later), she'd happily sleep until 8-9am if we let her but it's usually 7:30ish wake up on weekdays. She's not napped for ages now.

No nap, stopped that just after 2! (3 end of May) Wakes at 7am (occasionally 6:30) and bed is 7pm. She can cope without 12 hours awake before she crashes, the last 30/60 mins can be hit or miss but she only needs 12 hours of sleep so I try to push bed to earliest 7 because otherwise she is up earlier and then she crashes earlier and that’s not good for us.

Goes to bed at 7pm. Wakes usually any time between 6.30-7.30am Naps for approx an hour starting between 12.30-1pm

We aim for bed at 7pm some nights it's just after depending on if it's bath night or we have had a rough and extended tea time. Mon -thurs we wake him at 7 ready to be out the door to nursery (Mon) grandparents rest of the week. Fri - Sun he's left to sleep in which can be latest 8.30 if we hit lucky. Monday's naps at nursery usually aren't great anything from 30-55 mins. Grandparents it's usually 90 mins at home can go up to three hours sleep. The health visitor said to cut down on his sleep but if you'd seen him today after a short nap due to waking up to do a poo then she would see why it's not a good idea! He sleeps well on a night no matter length of nap but if no nap he really struggles to regulate himself.

Bed at 7pm (6.30 if no day time nap, which is max 1 hour). Wakes up 6.30-7am xx

My eldest will be 3 in July, he wakes up at 6:30am. Sometimes he needs a nap but if you ask him now he'll say no 🙈 so I have to be tactful and either be out in the car or read stories in bed to help him. When he does nap it's normally 1 til 4pm, when I have to wake him. Otherwise most days he will go all day without a nap. He never naps at nursery. Bedtime routine starts at 6:30, in bed by 7pm, usually asleep by 7:30 - which is the same whether he's napped or not.

LG wakes up any time between 5 and 8. If she naps I make sure it's between 1230 and 3 and no later. She goes to bed at 730 or earlier if extra tired. She obviously sleeps far better if she doesn't nap, but if it's a 5am start she needs it 🤷‍♀️

Bed time around 9. We love spending evenings together as a family, if our son would go bed earlier we would never see him (especially my parnter) still naps during the day from about 1-3pm.
