High arch pallet

I noticed that my baby has a high arched pallate. She is breastfeeding well and has no tongue tie. I have no idea what could have caused this. Anyone had a baby with this, and they had good teeth? I am also thinking of registering baby to a dentist, but I am not sure how the process works in the UK. Should I go to the GP and ask for a referral to the dentist ? Thank you

Hi. My baby has a high arched pallete and his teeth seem to be coming through OK, they have gaps in them but I think that's normal. For a dentist you just ring them up and ask if they are taking on new patients. Worth doing sooner rather than later as some have quite long waiting lists, although I think they take on children as a priority.

I have a very high arched palette and it's never caused me any issues at all. My dad is also a dentist and never mentioned it as something to be concerned about. Hope that helps. To get a dentist you register directly with a dentist who is accepting new patients.

Thank you
