Sleep training

Hi does anyone know of any good sleep training tips. I can’t do the cry it out method as my baba has such a hard time in her newborn phase with reflux and colic she cried most of the time so letting her cry it out for sleep training would trigger me and break my heart to do I just can’t bring myself to do it. But she is co sleeping the moment and wants to be close to me as possible during the night I haven’t sleep right in weeks. Any ideas welcome please ? X

Can you transition her into her own crib when she's in a deep sleep? Maybe in your room? That way you can easily comfort her in the night and if she stirs she can still hear you breathe and see you.

Check out nights with Nat on Instagram. She’s a sleep consultant like no other. She has a range of methods and will tailor a sleep plan that’s right for you. She has various methods including some really gentle ones. She also gives a week of unlimited WhatsApp support whilst you implement the plan. We used her back in October and our little girl sleeps great. You probably need to remember that change can upset a baby so your baby might cry. However, it should only be very temporary 💖 Nat’s reviews speak for themselves so go and take a wee look ☺️ x

@Lauren I think this is what I’m going to try with her and see how we get on with that. Her cot is in my room at the moment as I didn’t want her to be in her own room yet as she had awful reflux and would spit up during her sleep.

@Isla thank you I’ll look into her I have seen her name mentioned a few times and got good reviews. Was it a hard to do at first with the plan she gave you

She’s brilliant, honestly. It’s the WhatsApp support that helped me most. Parenting seems to be a battle where you are constantly questioning whether you’re doing the right thing (or it is for me). With Nat though, you can relax a little knowing that she knows what she’s talking about and you have her there for constant reassurance/if things are tough. To be honest, our little girl took to it really quickly. The first night was the hardest for sure but we got through it ☺️ Even reach out to her for a chat and see how that goes 😊 xx
