Croydon Nurseries

Hi Croydon Mumma ‘s My LO is already 5 months and I need to start thinking of enrolling him/ adding his name to a private nursery. I’m not fully familiar with croydon nurseries yet and was wondering if you are able to suggest any really good nurseries. Happy to pay the extra if the care is amazing. Just the thought of leaving my LO in nursery makes me so nervous and sad already. As have heard several stories about nursery staff only changing a nappy before pick up time and too many babies vs less staff ratio which add to the uneasiness of leaving him in nursery but I do have to get back to work soon. Thank you in advance

Highly recommend little pumpkins nursery in east Croydon ! They have an open day on the 1st of March . My daughter has been going there since she’s 1 and she’s 2 and half now and they have been amazing

Thank you so much Yasmina - super helpful x

Make sure you book tours with a few nurseries, people will recommend places but they might not suit you and you have to go to get a feel of the place. I personally didn’t like little pumpkins for example, felt like the place was small and overcrowded. The manager also didn’t listen to my daughter’s allergies one bit and offered her some milk when I just discussed her dairy allergy!

@Frederique yes definitely visit a lot of nurseries. So sorry you went through this . They have a new manager now who has been great not sure you dealt with her or someone else but that’s really bad they didn’t take into account her allergy. But yes definitely visit a lot of nurseries

My 8months old just started little pumpkin in east Croydon on Monday and so far it's been good. She bonded with the head of the baby room so that put my mind at rest abit. I did look at a few other before chosen them so do have a look at as many as you can
