Warm water in a peri bottle definitely helps. Also, breathing. Just close your eyes and relax. I know that sounds hard, but it works. I’ll add to this.. even after the first pee, you probably won’t be able to feel when you have to go for a while so set a timer or record it on a piece of paper or something .. this way you will always remember to go until you get the feeling back.
I agree. I was almost at that point but I peed just before my cut off time. I just sat, relaxed. Idk if you have a foot stool but they gave me one and that helped too
Drink lots of water. Try to relax your pelvic floor when youre on the toilet. Take deep slow breath, picture yourself peeing. I also tickle my lower back and thighs, it helps me go
I found absolutely nothing worked for me to wee after I had the catheter out initially, it was so frustrating. They had to put it back in for another 24 hours before I could try going again naturally. I found it was because my bladder hadn’t fully ‘woken up’ after the spinal and even the colour of the wee in the catheter bag reflected this (was really dark before turning my ‘normal’ clear wee colour when it had ‘woken up’). I also had issues with knowing when to wee after being discharged, but the feeling came back with 3/4 weeks pp. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to wee first time though, I’m sure it’ll happen in the next 24 hours ❤️
One of the midwifes had me run the shower and scratch my lower back while trying, good luck try not stress about it you will pee! Xx
I had put the tap running and watched something on my phone to help distract me and relax x
Drink loads x
I watched/listened to YouTube videos “help to wee” helped me relax n I drank soooo much
Just keep drinking until you literally feel like your going to burst
Sounds bizarre but I drank loads of lucosade sport
