@Savannah the commute is fine for me alone, I just was trying to see how it can be for toddlers. I know she would adjust, but the rent is significantly cheaper where we are looking
She would be totally fine, granted I'm not in the situation myself but I have a close friend who commuted more than that with her toddler and they definitely adjust. Your baby should have lots of time running around during the day and might nap in the car or you can bring snacks and a few car appropriate toys. Definitely do it! Cheaper rent is worth it and will free up money for other stuff for your daughter and the family.
I currently work about that far from my job/daycare vs home ,make sure u have some snacks and car toys/books to keep ur little one busy :)
@Brianne did your little one adjust well ? Do you find it difficult to travel ? I just had some comments from family so it’s making me a little bit anxious 😅
Have been in this situation since my son started daycare here and he adjusted really well, we just spent the ride talking singing listening to music and stories, I actually looked at the drive as quality time :)
It took a few weeks then we got a routine going for how the ride goes ,some days are still tough but most are good 😊
I drive for 1 hour there and 1 hour back. Her daycare and my work is that level of commute. On good days I get away with a 40/45 minute drive. If I were to bus it would be 2 hours which I have had to do.
35 is hardly a commute lol especially if you are getting significantly cheaper housing
