How to choose maternity hospital

I am around 15 weeks pregnant and have registered at Queens Charlotte Hospital for maternity but finding the commute quite long. I live very close to Northwick Park Hosptial. But based on reviews have had selected QC, can anyone share their experience at Northwick Park? Is it worth moving ?

When it comes to the time to have baby, rightfully so wherever you are a hospital can't turn you away, So i would try not to worry about it just yet, have your care at QC and as pregnancy progresses if it's to hard , you can transfer to a new hospital. My 3rd baby i had all my care with st thomas amazing hospital, As with my 2nd he was prem at 24wks My previous area transferred me there, and he will be 3yrs next month. So when I fell pregnant again it eas a no brainer we booked in at St Thomas- As I say I had all my care with them and then when labour came - it was an emergency we went to Edgware birth centre - As we had just moved here we didn't know it was a pre booked place, however they let me in and I'll be forever greatful to them as I could of nearly had baby in our new home 🤣 x

I know NWP has a lot of negative reviews, but I’ll share mine - obviously every birth is different! I had a rpositive birth experience at NWP, I had to be induced as I was close to a week overdue with my little one. The nurses and midwives were so friendly! They really helped me settle in, talked me through the processes (I opted to have the Hormone Pessary instead of the balloon). I didn’t see much of them apart from when they came to check the baby’s heart rate. I was sick everywhere and kept leaking water and they were so kind cleaning up after me! they gave pain relief I needed (epidurals, pethadine etc) When I went into labour I had a strict and no nonsense midwife but in the state I was in it was needed! I ended up having an assisted delivery with forceps as they didn’t want me to have a c section and the ladies were wonderful too. It’s really luck of the draw with who you get but please know there are positive experiences there xx
