Tell me how your BLW is going.

I’m curious how everyone is doing with weaning. My LG has been on food for a month now. We are doing a mix of BLW and purées. Usually I give her some form of what we’re having. For example last few days have been roast veg (courgette, aubergine and peppers) and chicken. She’s really keen, picks up everything and puts it in her mouth, will chew it and then instead of swallowing she keeps spitting it out. She’s actually eating less than a few weeks ago when I swear she was swallowing stuff. Is this her way of saying I don’t like it? Anyone else’s baby just chew and spit out most of their food? We then do a puree after to actually get her to swallow something. Shes really good with anything smooth. Devours yogurt and fruit in the morning. I read it’s time to move away from smooth textures but I’m struggling to get her to eat more lumpy food. Anyone any tips or advice or tips? Also anyone’s baby seem to deliberately drop food on the floor. I read they’re likely playing with cause and effect but it’s bloody annoying. Picture for the mess of it all

I know it's not everyone's choice, but have you tried pouches? They build up in lumps and texture. We started with the 4 and 6 month ones, then to the 7 month, 10 month and now if we take one out with us for on the go my son will have a 12 month one, which is pretty much spaghetti bolognese how we would have it just chopped up for example. That's really helped with building up his tolerance of different foods, he doesn't seem to gag or spit anything out anymore, so when I give him anything BLW style, he will just eat it. He's 8 months today. As for the throwing of food, they find it a game and it is so frustrating at times but it stops with time x

I have tried the 8month and 10 months pouches she swallows some then refuses to eat anymore. Shes now refusing her spoon and insisting on a big metal one. And she refused her yogurt and fruit puree for breakfast. Feels like each meal is getting harder. Gave her pasta and sauce like what we had and let her play yesterday, nothing consumed though.
