When I was pregnant, midwife said that vaping wasn't considered as smoking
Don’t want any backlash off my comment but vaped during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding was fully transparent with both midwives and doctors. Midwife was concerned about my stress levels whilst trying to stop and just said to just minimise it as much as I could, the stress could be worse. They were never judgmental or critiquing me. I carry the world of guilt on my shoulders and always have about not being able to stop, something I am still working on. Always considered as a non smoker on any appts I had and also they explained if I was a smoker they would of given me a vape on the nhs to stop the smoking! A lot of people are too ashamed to say anything so you feel really alone with the struggle but you are NOT and there is more people than just you that are struggling not everyone can just put them down. Just try to be better, don’t pick it up as much but if you can stop that’s perfect.

Vaping and smoking are both considered not great for your own health so personally I imagine they wouldn’t be either breastfeeding either. Smoking and Vaping is on the risk factor for SIDS so imo id say it’s not safe regardless. It’s best to actually consult the doctor. It might seem nerve wracking snd there is an aura of shame and stigma attached to it but you’ll never get solid information without consulting a health care professional.
