First teeth

Hi mums! My 9-month-old baby’s first teeth are the lateral incisors. Is this normal, or does baby teeth need to come in an order? When should I be worried? Appreciate any input / advice. :)

I’m not sure if they’re meant to come in a specific order but my teeth started with the pointy ones as a baby. There’s photos of me looking like a vampire as a small baby but the rest filled in in time and I don’t have any issues with my teeth

That is so interesting to hear! A little baby vampire phase sounds adorable. That’s reassuring to hear, though—seems like teeth really do come in their own way and sort themselves out over time. Thanks for sharing! :)

My baby has also got these come through first before her front teeth. She looks so funny 😂 I’m hoping the middle 2 won’t be far behind as she really is rocking the vampire look🫣 Shame it isn’t Halloween 😂

No it’s okay, sometimes they do come in in a different order to normal! I wouldn’t worry x

This was my 9m/o first tooth, the middle 2 and other side came through shortly after so he looks less like a hillbilly now 😆

They don't need to come in a certain order, the pictures online of when certain teeth come in are just when most babies come in but every baby is different so it won't be the same for them all. You can always contact a pediatric dentist if you're worried

My sons first teeth were lateral incisors on the bottom! His two front teeth were his 4th and 5th teeth to come through! The first 3 were bottom teeth!

It’s absolutely ok! My daughter got her bottom two teeth first then some towards the back next. She’s now 14 months and has 2 teeth left to come in!🥴
