Brushing teeth

Hi all, I'm having a really big struggle with getting my 16 month old to enjoy (or at least not scream at the top of his lungs) while brushing his teeth. He used to be okay doing this and only fussed or whinged a tiny bit but now he is has a full on tantrum and screams like he's in pain and arches his back to get away from me as soon as we get in the bathroom. I have tried brushing my teeth first so he knows it's coming (and he does understand because he motions brushing if I say let's go brush your teeth) but as soon as we actually start he screams. I've tried letting him do it and he used to put it in his mouth at least but now he won't even do that. Any suggestions welcome x

I’ve found placing the mirror in front of him so he can see what he’s doing helps. And pulling the faces (like Arrrr and Eeeee 😂). We then usually have a tantrum when I try and take the toothbrush back off him. Good luck.

Following because it’s a nightmare with my boy. He will scream throw himself around run away, I’ve tired singing, brushing mine at the same time, even putting the tv on. Nothing works. So no suggestions! Just hoping this thread helps me too!

Have you tried an electric baby brush? X
