Travelling with pram

When going away what’s the process I need to do when travelling with a pram (easyJet) are there certains buggies I’m allowed to travel with? Is there an option online for me to select I’m taking a pram? Help please

Following as wondering the same thing! It didn’t specify it when adding luggage so I’ve no idea 🫣

When I went I just used the pram through the airport and then checked it in at the gate. X

Can you take any pram?

I took a stroller but another lady had a bigger pram. I just wanted something lightweight as we were travelling and felt it would be less cumbersome x

You’re entitled to fly with 2 pieces of equipment with a baby with easyJet : These include a travel cot, pushchair, car seat, collapsible or non-collapsible pram, booster seat and/or baby back carrier They put it in the hold so it doesn’t have to be cabin sized etc. if taking a car seat, get one of the travel bags to put it in and strap a pack of nappies into the seat to save on suitcase space

@Danielle this is so helpful, thank you! Do you have to declare it or anything prior to flying? Like you have to buy your luggage requirements in advance.

@EmmaWhen you go to check in at a desk you tell them and they’ll take the car seat or whatever you don’t need, put a label on it and off it goes with the other luggage. The buggy they’ll put a label on and then you keep it until you get on the plane (if you want to obvs) - or at a machine a helpful easyJet staff member will usually come help you - they see you coming in the queue and then know you’ll need help - have to press ‘special item’ on the screen etc

For what it’s worth (not sure where you’re based) Gatwick is my fave to fly from with babies, Stansted is fine though (but better out of school hols)

What stroller would you suggest is good to take

We have the mamas and papas Airo, which is very lightweight but quite low down. Babyzen yoyo is good but they’re both fairly expensive so depending on the baby’s age if they can sit up I know a few people who rate red kite or Hauck strollers for travel

@Danielle we are flying from Gatwick so this is great 😊 you’ve been so helpful and have ease my anxiety about travelling with all the extra things I’ll need for my little boy so thank you so much xx

I used a joie stroller for travelling with little one can lie flat so suitable for smaller babies and quite light too x
