🤔

So I’m curious I’ve been smoking and breastfeeding since baby turned 7months, 1yr appointment is coming up and I was wondering do they take blood or is it just shots? Also would they be able to detect thc if passed to baby if they do take blood? I’m sure I’m just high and thinking too much lol but this is my mind at 5am wake and bake😆

I wouldn't stress too much. If baby is healthy and happy they shouldn't even ask you even if it comes up because so many people use it as medicinal now so if they did happen to ask.. You can just say you use it to help with pain or sleep and your alternative doc knows about it and is OK in small doses as it hardly gets to baby through the breast milk from all the information I've studied about it. My sons healthy and I've been breastfeeding and also smoking medicinal since he was born. Not often but for pain due to chemotherapy I had to undergo when I was younger. Its the only thing that helps with my pain of a night time to help me sleep a little easier and it is also the only thing that gives me an appetite because the chemo wrecked my metabolism and I can't ever put weight on so I have been diagnosed with an eating disorder as well. Still have a very healthy 10 month old son and his the happiest baby ever. People comment all the time how lucky I am to have such a happy baby 😆 Don't stress mumma 🫶

@Emma yes baby is smart, healthy and hitting all milestones. I even went cold Turkey for a week to see if baby would show withdrawal and nothing. But thank you girl I appreciate that you took your time to explain. Big hug to you mama you’re so strong!

Aw that sounds awesome 🫶 Well done mumma and Thank you so much.. Big hugs back at ya 🤗

Did it affect your supply at all? Increase? Decrease? Also did it affect your weight? When I smoked before I was a size 4 now I’m a size 12 and want to start again lmfao

@Kijahne I noticed an increase in my supply after I smoked I believe its cause my body is relaxed. My weight has fluctuated throughout postpartum but that has nothing to do with smoking cause you can be in control of the munchies lol. My weight gain was from the hunger from breastfeeding tbh and that was before I started smoking.
