Are there any recommended healthy hip development baby carriers that's also supportive of your back?

Hey everyone, I'm struggling on what baby carrier to get that is safe for my baby when he comes. I obviously want one that he can sit in the way he's supposed to that helps with babies hip development. I've heared that babies are supposed to look like an M shape when sat in it. I also want one which is supportive of my back as I have a back condition. Thank you X

Show your support

We tried loads on in John Lewis and our favourite was Baby Bjorn Move It felt so incredible for your back as it has a support across the middle. And perfectly safe and healthy for baby too (from newborn) We’ll be using it for dog walks etc and going across muddy fields/ forest instead of the pram

I highly suggest going to your local sling library. You can try many out and get advice on how to use them correctly, and they can advise based on your needs I have a close caboo- pre tied stretchy which I love for newborn stage and a beco gemini - carrier I don’t get the bjorn hype and much better ones out there. Mom cozy don’t fit until about 3months.

I have a baby bjorn mini and loved it with my first! Used it loads for the first few months and suitable for newborn. I lent it to a friend for now but planning on using it again for second baby

Definitely recommend a sling library. I had a babybjorn harmony with my first & wasn’t a fan of it at the start. I then went to a sling library and tried a mamaruga zen sling which was so much better. They have loads of options and show you how to wear baby safety and fit it to you

Close caboo are really good sling carriers for newborn stage. I didn’t like the baby bjorn carrier I had but loved my infantino flip advanced. (Much cheaper too)

@Danielle do you have a link for the close caboo pre tied? X
