@Kesi Thanks. I’m sure I am getting antibiotics. I’m going back to the doc today as the results just came in. The urine said “several growth but probably insignificance” well I have a dang uti. I know by the symptoms and there was leukocytes. I take probiotics but I will try to boric acid to help with it as well. I’ve noticed I’m dryer so I’m sure it has to do with peri as well. Getting old sucks lol.
Dont use soap or perfumed products on that area, wash with water only as the V is self cleaning then you shouldnt have any more issues.
Okay so thats even better the antibiotics paired with the boric a is very effective . Theres other natural herbs to help with dryness down there like slippery elm but you should look further into it and see what works for you . For the uti -cranberry juice even after the antibiotics too for prevention
@Kesi I’m going to look into natural stuff. I’m going to check out the slippery elm. I e heard of it.
We have to follow all the tips for a healthy vagina to keep it PH balanced and so it can keep doing it’s thing and be self cleansing. I honestly think age has nothing to do with it 1. No soaps down there, just water 2. Cotton or bamboo undies, and let it air out at night/whenever you can, go commando at night, under skirts dresses etc let it breathe. Minimal leggings/yoga pants. 3. No tampons, that sucks out all moisture and good bacteria. Pads/cup/period undies don’t use tampons 4. No/minimal contact w semen. Get him to cum elsewhere, or use condoms. Even on BC don’t expose vagina to semen some girls are sensitive/intolerant to semen, and frequent exposure changes it’s PH 5. Probiotics. Yogurt, Yakult, kimchi, cranberry juice/tablets regularly into diet. Doing all that should help.
@Kellie knows what she’s talking about. I’ll never suggest antibiotics unless you are severely sick. I recommend eating better, probiotics, plant based, don’t wear pants without cotton undies, no thongs for a bit, let her breathe. But over…eat cleaner, alkaline based foods.
@Kellie I do all that. That’s what’s frustrating. I can’t eat dairy but I do take probiotics. I have bladder issues so I get a lot of UTIs unfortunately. These changes suddenly starts at the same time my period went all wonky. I’ve been told I’m in peri so the fluctuating hormones are causing issues. I do not want to use those inserts. There has to be a better way.
@Chinyere I eat a keto/paleo diet to control a disease I have so I don’t have to take meds. So I eat a ton of veggies and eat really well. Purely plant based makes me very weak as I can’t eat any legumes so don’t get protein. It’s frustrating I’ve been told it’s peri because my period is incredibly irregular now.
I’ll look into that one. I’ve tried the cranberry pills, they didn’t help much. Also real cranberry juice, the nasty stuff lol. I guess because I have retention in my bladder so it wasn’t strong enough. My period was exactly 28 days then I had my daughter and it was 25-28 days so still fairly regular. Now my period can be every 14 days or every 40. It’s driving me nuts because I never actually know. I’ll look into the high strength stuff.
You have unbalanced ph which alters your vaginal flora . You need to flush out the bad bacteria and introduce good ones . Since they didn’t give you antibiotics to treat an infection, try another remedy like Boric acid suppositories (this to flush out bad a symptom relief and help maintain healthy ph ) AND a probiotic to reintroduce good bacteria and stabilize your flora . Taking probiotics especially at the age of 45 is good to maintain healthy vag flora . Keep drinking lots of water and cranberry juice and pineapple juice as well .
