Baby meals

Hello! I'm so stuck on what to make for breakfast lunch and dinner I feel like I always make the same things and it's boring for him! (He eats the lot so can't complain too much 😂) Just wondering what others make their little ones 😁

Breakfast wise, we do porridge Mon-Fri as it’s easy, but we mix up what we put in it. Mashed berries, grated apple or pear, mashed banana etc. on the weekends he might have scrambled eggs and a bit of toast or even pancakes. Lunch is always hit and miss, I basically pull out what I can from the fridge 😂 dinner he eats what we eat as it makes it so much easier and he is SO interested in what we eat. I can’t have a snack in peace anymore 😂

Similar to above - we do porridge for breakfast every day but mix up what goes in it - peanut butter/almond butter/berries/apple and cinnamon/dried apricot (cut up small) and nutmeg/carrot. For lunch, it's normally either: toast (with butter/cream cheese/peanut butter/cheese/avocado) or omelette (with any veg we have easily available e.g. frozen peas or mushroom) or left overs from last night's dinner. Sometimes with cucumber sticks or bit of cheese or baby crisps. And always plus some fruit. And for dinner, she has the same as us. Like you, she'll eat pretty much anything, so this helps to add variety, and we'll include extra veg if she hasn't had too many so far that day. What are your regular options then too?!

Breakfast - weetabix, porridge, toast, fruit, pancakes, yoghurt Lunch - omlette, toastie, pasta, sandwich or random picky bits dinner - whatever we have. I usually buy one baby meal a week in case we have something he can’t share with us

I find breakfast & lunches boring too but try to mix it up with dinner. Things like fajitas (deconstructed), chicken korma, Katsu curry, turkey Sunday roast, salmon, mash & veg’ mac & cheese or just an omelette with ham cheese & spinach. One staple if she can’t really have what we’re eating is broccoli & cream cheese pasta. Her absolute favourite. I also made a huge batch of bolognese for her a while back. Just mince, chopped tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and a splash of balsamic vinegar in the slow cooker. I either serve as is with spaghetti & cheese, add beans to make a ‘chilli’ and serve with rice or add peas & carrots and serve with mash as a cottage pie. Same basic base but 3 totally different meals.

I get so many ideas from Instagram accounts. One account that I love is https://www.instagram.com/what_amara_eats?igsh=aG5iZmxhMHl1NWk1

I also get so many ideas from - @theweaninggp @doctorbowl @reallittlemeals Soups! I love making soups because you can throw in any veggies, spices and herbs with some full fat cream and it’s just a massive winter health kick. Any meal I make, before adding salt or anything baby shouldn’t have, I take out a portion for my children. Bolognaise, pasta’s, curries, pie’s etc. something to 3 year old loves and has always loved is a picky lunch / dinner. Fruit, cheese, some sort of protein in a little sandwich, melty sticks and a yogurt. Big hit when you haven’t got the time to cook!
