Sleepover
Our little one is 5 weeks old on Friday and my mum has offered to have him for the night so I can get a good nights sleep. I’ve said no before as I didn’t feel ready. I feel like I’m ready now however I feel so scarred at the thought of a night away from him. I know he’s in the safest hands and will be spoilt at his granny’s but I can’t help but worry it’s too soon for him to be away from me for a night or am I just overthinking it

Can you both stay there? I stay at my mums on a friday with my 4 week old and do most of the night but around 5am when my mum is up she’ll take her so i can have an extra couple of hours

Whatever you decide to do lovely, my only advice is make sure it’s a decision only you are happy with. Our mumma instinct knows best! I didn’t let my first stay with anyone overnight until she was 2, and even then, I didn’t sleep well as I was so worried about her! 😂😂 I also had friends who left their little girl with parents for one weekend a month from 4 weeks old, and she loved it! She always did seem really refreshed after the break! 🥰 Whatever your choice, just let it be one you are happy with. Don’t let anyone else sway you one way or the other. ☺️ Good luck on whichever way you go! Xx
